I installed Mac OS X on my custom built Intel Core 2 Duo desktop (2GB ram, Gigabyte S-Series G41M-ES2L motherboard, SATA 500GB hard drive). It works perfectly fine, no problems except for the screen resolution. It is stuck at 1024x768 for some reason, googled for 2 days now with no solutions that work. Im really mad now and thinking about scratching the idea of a hackintosh :) My monitor is this:

22" BenQ G2222HDH monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080, and everything ive tried doesnt make it that resolution. Really restless at this point :D

Is there someone who can enlighten me? I have no graphics card, its just the motherboard, and core 2 duo inside. 2 slots of ram are full with 1GBs each. Any help is appreciated.

Mac identifies my graphics like this:

You can buy a cheap graphics card. $40 max does the trick. Find out which ones work for sure then buy one.

What kind of onboard graphics do you have? You have to make sure the chip is support.
