etherealbeats
I am using JaS release but have tried the HotISO one and I get the same problem. When I went to boot up with the DVD I had created it went on to the grey loading screen and after about 2 minutes the circle with a slash through it appeared. I booted in Verbose mode and got "still waiting for root device" after a while. So I installed OS X to my hard drive using VMWare and the install was perfect. I can use OS X fine in VMWare but when I try to run it natively I get the same "still waiting for root device" error in Verbose mode. I have tried searching the forums and I have tried solutions that have worked for others, nothing seems to be working. PC Spec: SSE2 2.66GhZ P4 CPU 1.5GB RAM ASUS P4S800-MX Mobo - SiS chipset. ATi Radeon 9600 pro 256MB Seagate 40GB IDE (partitioned in half with Windows on one half, Mac on the other, both primary partitions) Seagate 160GB IDE (for my various files) Anyone pinpoint the problem there. Rammjet
When you installed, what packages did you install under Customize? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=4249 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25962-not-one-successful-boot/#findComment-175736 Share on other sites
etherealbeats
I chose the Intel SSE2 update and the first one that was on the list, but on mine it was called something different, it was for Intel CPU's though. I get the same problem when booting from the DVD though. Remember I can run it fine in VMWare. J.
