Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and G31-M7 TE Motherboard!

After many hours of pain, i'm finally there! And i wish to share this tutorial with you all!

We'll need:

I. iATKOS 10.6.3 DVD

II.Patience & Time-Sparing

III.To leave any fears at the door!

 

Step 1:

Insert your DVD and start the computer.When it arrives at the screen, press F8 and then type in cpus=1 -v

Wait for the computer to load. Don't get scared when you'll see all those lines, they ain't errors!

After you get past that screen, select your language and click next.

Then, click continue! A big message will pop up. Click the button wich looks like this : --->

Then, go up at the menu bar , click utillity and select Disk Utillity!

Go ahead and on the left panel click your partition, the go to the Erase tab.

Select Mac OS X(Jorunaled) and type in a name, for ex: MacHDD

Hit the "Erase" Button.

After that, wait for it to load and close that window.

You should now be at the instalation screen.

 

Step 2:

Select the partition we just created.You can easily identify it by the name you just typed in.

Before hitting install, go to Customize. We'll select the following:

Bootloader

+AsereBLN v1.1.9

Bootloader Options

+Graphics Enabler

+Legacy Logo

Patches

+Default

Drivers

+Default

+Voodoo PS/2(in case of keyboard problems)

+NTFS-3G

VGA

+None (I use a kext specifically for my video card)

Network

+None

P.S: From audio, leave checked both VoodooHDA and AppleHDA.It works only problem is a buzzing noise and that you can hear yourself in the headphones when speaking on the microphone. If you guys can fix that, let me know.

Click ok, then hit Install.

Step 3 :

After it finishes installing, click Restart Now!

The computer will restart, and you should be able to boot.

Don't throw a party yet! You need to install your network by using the driver i attached to this post!

Just install it as you install any other thing, and then restart your PC.

Then , your network should work. If not, go to system preferences and then network.

There you will have to delete the connection with the red thing in it's left.Click on the lock and click apply!

Wait a few seconds and it will say Connected.
