cowfish
I'm working on finding parts for a hackintosh that I'm planning to run Snow Leopard on. The issue I'm having is that im trying to find a graphics card ~$130 that will be compatible with snow leopard. I don't really wanna get into to much hacking with it, I'd like to keep it as vanilla as possible, maybe using graphicsenabler or efi strings something simple like that. Anyway could anyone help me find a card like this? I've been looking into the radeon 5770 since that's what the mac pro has now so it would probably be compatible and within my price range, and theres a few of them on newegg but im not sure which would be the best choice? I'll put links to them and thanks for help http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...1-363-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...0-539-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...5-327-_-Product Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/259289-graphics-card-for-snow-leopard/ Share on other sites
TomCom
Try to pick one from this list: http://www.tonymacx86.com/wiki/index.php?t...s_Card_Database In theory, all 5770 with standard design, memory and outputs should work as fine as real Macs, but there are loads of custom designs out there. The best option, in my opinion, is to pick a card supported by Chameleon, since you'll basically have nothing to do to make it work. I just have trouble to find an updated graphic support list right now. If someone can helps, it would be much appreciated, thanks.
