I have the following configuration:

motherboard-p7p55ws supercomputer with G.P. Diagnosis card

cpu-intel-core i5-760

16GB Dual-Channel DDR3 Memory Kit Vegeance

Sapphire-ATI HD 4870x2

Please help me with installing video card. I tried many ways on netkas.org, tonymacx86.com and insanelymac.com and unfortunately none worked. My card does not work with qe / ci. I tried a ton of kext files and I did not work. Please tell me what the latest version of snow leopard with this card working full (qe / CI / resolution). Let me tell you what I tried. Dozens of installation until I got to learn how to delete video drivers from the terminal. Install the disk drive retail osx 10.6 snow leopard 10A432. Another option and the last one I tried is a Retail Mac OS X 10.6.3. I tried the latest combo update 10.6.7, 10.6.5, 10.6.3, and more. Installations have been successful with ##### 3.0.4 (latest build), and (also) ##### 3.7.3. From ##### I installed the following:

-rebuil caches & repair permisions

-0.2.56-vodoohda

-ioahciblockstorageinjector

-evoreboot

-fakesmc

-iousbfamily roolback

-nullcpupowermenagement

-Realtek gigabit ethernet-2.0.6

-v1.4.1-r877 chimera

-Apple-32-bit boot screen

-3.1-macpro

-tonymacx86 remixed theme

With this options from ##### my system booting successfully. For now the problems begin. How do I install video drivers? Resolution changed only with this pack 7_radeon_hd_48x0_drivers.pkg. Needle work

I tried fresh install of 10.6.7 combo pack update 10.6,10.6.3 + and qe / but for 10.6.7. The result? Blue screen or lock on startup.

1600x1200 is just because I com.apple.Boot file in extra file folder

<key> EthernetBuiltIn </ key>

<string> Yes </ string>

<key> Graphics Mode </ key>

<string> 1920x1200x32 </ string>

By the way com.apple.Boot file must be only com.apple.Boot? or com.apple.Boot.plist

Is necessarily to use dsdt.aml from tonymacx86 dtdt database ?

My monitor is a Syncmaster t260hd with 1920x1200 rezolution.

Please help-me. ;)

Hi claudiud,

both rom's (no output from VGA). See my sig. Not sure about latest Chameleon with ATI

personalities and it's effect as hack busy with family now it all stable & reliable.

Yes best to use correct DSDT for your configuration ;)
