External sound card (M-Audio Fast Track Pro)

Hi all,

I have an almost perfect Hack on an Asus P5K-E Wifi A/P, which updates flawlessly from Software Update... However the Fast Track Pro sound card isn't working after coming out of sleep... slightly annoying and almost renders obsolete the fact that sleep works I'll go now and check if the onboard sound works after sleep...

Thanks for any suggestions any can offer.

 

Snow Leopard 10.6.7

Asus P5K-E Wifi A/P

Asus NVidia 9400GT 1GB

Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz - which appears as Xeon (?)

8GB 800MHz DDR2 ram

Chameleon 2.0.0 RC5 with preference pane

 

So the internal sound card works after sleep... but that is no good unless i use headphones, since my speakers are monitors and require an audio interface

 

I'm writing to myself here but anyway... if anyone needs help with the same issue, i just found a way to resolve it, albeit slightly inconvenient... Open the preference pane in System Preferences, deselect everything, Apply, reselect thm and Apply. then it works again wootwoot!
