einKeks
Hi there, I experience a little problem since I updated my Zotac a-e to 10.6.7 (OSX Server). Everything works fine except the fact that I'm no longer able to adjust my FSB. The FSB has been adjusted in the BIOS to 667, which would lead to a CPU clock of 2.0Ghz. The CPU clock is correctly displayed in the BIOS, but after booting in OSX the CPU speed is back at 1.6Ghz. Does somebody know what could cause this behavior? Best Regards Keks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/258899-unable-to-adjust-fsb-since-update/ Share on other sites
night_mare007
Does somebody know what could cause this behavior? Hi... Although the following thread name is about i7 - but i guess it also happens on many other CPU... so it's possible that the source which outputs those values - ISN"T CORRECT ! ... Moreover - Try and boot with specific boot switch that are optimized for your CPU - look in the forum - there are alot of thread about the "cpus" and "busratio" boot switches. In addition you can try and use the "fsb=XXX" boot switch ( I don't know if it's relevant to snow osx.
