lamede15
Hi All, I ve been away more than a year from my Hackintosh and today i started it succesfully. Then i tried to make my Firewire PCI card work so i deleted HPET.kext from S/L/E and placed a backup copy on the desktop. The problem is that i had a kernel panic while starting up the system ( bootlader is ok) So i tried to be smart and i plugged this harddrive to another computer to replace this kext where it belongs. Put the harddrive back in its motherboard but i still have the same problem. Cannot boot, kernel panic even with the kext back in place !! Is there a way to fix this kext problem without reinstalling my hack from scratch ? Thanks. lamede15
hello, I managed to repair the permissions booting from a prepared flashdrive with OSX install on it and using the disk utility. Still having the kernel panic at the startup. I didn't clean the cache cause i don't know how to do this. Any link to learn more on this thing ? Thanks ( i search the forum with "fix cache -f" but no success) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/258697-hpetkext-and-kernel-panic/#findComment-1694998 Share on other sites
