Hello guys, a newbie here. Successfully Installed OSX 10.6.2 little over a year ago and used it till the 10.6.5 update was out. Switched back to Windows 7 cause I had to use a lot of Windows Apps. Now I wanted to take the plunge once again.

Downloaded and burned the Hazards 10.6.6i ISO onto a DVD, created a new partition and formatted it to HFSJ file system. Tried Installing by customizing the same kexts that I previously used for 10.6.2. But unfortunately Mac OSX doesn't boot through normal mode at all, gets stuck at one point of the start up process. Now I started getting all sorts of Kernel Panics as well. First some VoodooPower then VoodoHDA leads to a Kernel Panic. Guess I messed up the Customizing part of the Installation. It boots through -x mode but USB devices don't get detected. Thinking of reinstalling OSX using different set of kexts. Could anyone please point me out to the correct packages I should select during the Customizing process for successfully setting up Mac OSX 10.6.6 for the following Hardware Config,

  • Laptop: HP DV4-1242tx
  • Processor: Intel Core2Duo T6400 @2Ghz x86
  • Ram: 4GB DDR2
  • Sound Device: IDT HD Audio
  • Graphic Device: Nvidia GeForce 9200M GS with 512mb
  • Mother Board: Hewlett-Packard 30F8 Version F.66
  • Wireless: Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN (BCM43XG12_NT61)

  • LAN: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
  • Chipset: Intel PM45 based, revision 7.0
  • Southbridge Model: 82801IM (ICH9-M)
  • Touchpad: Alps Pointing Device 2 way

Please help me, been trying to install Mac for the N'th time but each time some or the other KP sets in. ;)
