Today i wanted to boot into my leopard partition. When I got to chameleon I selected it, then the apple went away and the chameleon remained at the top. After many trials, i realized that typing "Wake=No" Would allow me to boot. I found that it was trying to load "sleepimage" which is a 4gb file.

Can I just delete it, or at least make it stop booting from it? I don't like having to type "Wake=No"

Deleting it will not help, it will be recreated.

From a terminal prompt, type man pmset, *read* and then do whatever you have to do to disable hibernation, using the pmset command....I think it's sudo pmset hibernatemode=0 but check first to be sure.

This (well, the correct command anyway) will disable hibernation and delete the sleepimage.

Another way is to simply add wake=0 to your /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist - but you permanently lose 4 GB hard drive space to the sleepimage file.
