cRACKmONKEY421
Mac noob w/ Epox nForce4 SLI & latest JaS ISO... I get two errors when I boot: "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" and "/System/Library/Extensions/AppleVIAATA.kext was installed improperly...." The second error message I was able to get rid of by disabling my onboard SATA controller. The first error is what I can't seem to get rid of... I've seen this happen all over this forum. NTFS drives won't mount and give an error when inserted. OSX attempts to automount my XP NTFS drive, then presents that error message. I can see my HD in Disk Utility, but when I hit mount nothing happens. The same exact thing happens when I plug in my USB NTFS formatted flash drive. However I can mount and read files on NTFS drives by manually mounting in the terminal or adding the terminal mounting commands to /etc/rc.local. This works fine for accessing my NTFS partitions, but I still get that error message when I start OSX or plug in an NTFS drive. I tried a few methods for disabling automount--set 'automount' to 'no' in /etc/hostconfig for one-- but none have worked. I want to get rid of this error message and still have readable NTFS partitions one way or another... This means getting automount working properly or somehow getting rid of the error message caused by automount not functioning. Please help if you can.. thanks.. totokan
re-partition the drive with two FAT32 ones. Make one an HFS+ for OsX and one use for windoze.
