yzszx
Hi, you guys, If you have a IBM T43 notebook, I think this is a good new for you. Because this might be the first guide in the world to tell you how to have the Snow Leopard Retail installed into your T43 step by step(See attachment). So, what are you waiting for? However, I DO have problems with my Snow Leopard at present, such as no sound & wireless driver, unable to sleep/hibernate & etc. As a result, this is also a 'Help Hunting' post, and any advice is much appreciated. Here is the detailed configuration of my laptop: Model: IBM ThinkPad T43 2669-I3N CPU: Intel Pentium M 750 1.86GHz Centrino Mobile M/B: Intel 915PM Chipset 533MHz FSB RAM: 512M-533 + 1G-667 DDR2-SDRAM NIC: Broadcom BCM5751 Wireless: Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Video: ATI Radeon Mobility X300 (64M) Audio: SoundMax AC’97 Integrated HD: 40G-IDE + 500G-SATA2 BTW, if you read Chinese, here is the link of my tutorial in Chinese: http://bbs.pcbeta.com/viewthread-878667-1-1.html IBM_T43_s_Catching_the_Snow_Leopard.pdf Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257896-guide-ibm-t43s-catching-the-snow-leopard-retail/ Share on other sites
chrissodey
Thanks for the time spent on this. I will try it out tonight. One thought about your wireless. T43s will not allow a different wireless card to boot past bios without a modified bios. I changed my card to a broadcom card in anticipation of osx86. The modified bios firmware I found on thinkwiki.org worked great and allowed me to change not only the wireless cards, but the hard drives as well. I'm thinking a broadcom or arthos card should work great in these machines.
