mitchcook420
Hey guys, So I managed to install the 2.8gb Snowleo 10.6 distro using mtb_kng's guide here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=255419 with that said, I'm now having a few problems, I installed the legacy apple piixata(cause it said I could use either IDE or AHCI mode) and now I can only boot osx if I change the Sata mode in my bios to AHCI, problem with that is I can't boot into windows 7, When I installed the ideneb v1.6 10.5.8 distro I selected the AppleATIATA and I could leave the sata mode on IDE and both operating systems would boot. So my question is how would I go about removing the applepiiata kext and installing the appleatiata optimized for SL? Or is Snow Leopard only able to boot with AHCI mode? Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257758-snow-leopard-kext-help/ Share on other sites

So would that be my only option of dual booting osx and windows 7? or is it possible to remove that applepiiata kext and install the appleatiata kext? Sorry if I sound a bit noobish, I just started messing around with osx a few days ago Thanks again!
