s00p3rj
When I run my desktop, my energy bill is HUGE $150. My brother had my computer before, ran windows on it, and didnt have an issue. Now that I have OSX on it, my bill is really high. Is it possible that some how the OS isn't telling the motherboard to manage the amount of power it needs from the power supply? Or is it just the power supply and I should get a new one? Any ideas? Is the computer on 24 hours a day now where it may of barely been used before ? There's a lot to factor in that would have nothing to do with the computer such as tumbl dryer, lights being left on etc etc have you looked at all avenues ? Give more info if you can but even if OS X was causing your computer to draw maximum power. unless it's on all the time then you would barely notice a change in your bill.
