Espionage724
I have prior experience with messing with OS X on my Acer TravelMate 2480 (it's hardware worked quite well with OS X, only things I needed was VoodooHDA, PS2, and Battery). I wish to try to install OS X to my Compaq 515 (same hardware basically as a 516 and 615). I have only tried messing with OS X on an AMD machine years ago, and it didn't work quite well. I basically wish to get OS X 10.6.7 working (I don't care about audio, graphics, etc at the moment, just want to be able to get to a desktop), I would like to have x64 capabilities as well (shouldn't be that hard right? ) I installed OS X to my old laptop by basically having a Snow Leopard partition on my HDD with the installer on it, and then I would boot from a Chameleon RC4 flash drive with the Fake SMC kext on it, and then just proceed to install OS X. On my Compaq 515, I imagine I would need some sort of custom kernel possibly?
