sarim khan
Hi, I installed "Snow Leopard 10.6.6 SSE2 SSE3 Intel Only by Hazard" in my pc yesterday. During install, in customize option, i selected the "VoodooHDA_0.2.6.2" driver for my audio. After installation, then after restart, I was left in a black screen with white text complaining something abount , "panic" "kernel" "org.voodoo" etc..... Then i again rebooted my pc and voilaaaa, mac osx booted. All were fine, audio was working but today, when i booted my pc, i was left in that screen again, i rebooted sevaral time with no luck, then i went to the bios setup and disabled onboard audio system. Now the mac os again boots and running without any audio support. Now what can i do to get back my audio support? my config, Motherboard: Intel DG31PR RAM: 1GB GFX card: nVidia 8400 se onboard audio: realtek ALC888 You can have a look at my installation customization page, I selected the green marked option, bottom of the first column. Now i suppose i need to do something with VoodooHDA_0.2.6.2 kext, i want to remove it first, then install it again. How can i remove a kext, and how can i install a kext ? I'm a newcomer to the MAC world, this is my first day, so.... , hope that you will understand. Waiting to hear from you guys .... Hack24
I would look for apple HDA for the sound. I have a dg31pr and I remember using apple HDA and installing the alc888 codec and I got full sound working.
