pianoplayer
I have a 9800GTX+ and so far it is working perfectly with one exception: I have to use a DVI to VGA adapter. My 0x613 model is from EVGA and has two DVI ports and I think a mini DIN connector (round, looks like the PS/2). Quartz Extreme and full resolution (I've tested up to 1920x1200 and don't need to go higher) are both working, but strangely a monitor connected directly to the DVI port using a DVI to HDMI cable will get a black screen after the Apple logo boot sequence, but if I use the same monitor with a VGA cable (the monitor has both an HDMI port and a VGA port), and connect the graphics card to a DVI to VGA adapter, then the monitor will work fine. I would just live with VGA but my cable is absolutely horrific, making my screen flicker and making pixels causing a "streak" of pixels left and right of where they should be. I've read that this is normal VGA behavior and don't want to drop $30-40 on a VGA cable that might not even improve things by much, so is there any way to get DVI working? Thanks. Harley
As far as I know there's no exact solution for this. Here the topic on this matter, maybe it will help you. It wasn't much help for me though.
