Odd problem with sleep and brightness

I have an odd problem with my hackintosh (Samsung Q430-11). Everything but the following work fantastically-

-Brightness changing, locked at boot at either highest or lowest settings (highest on AC, lowest on battery)

-Sleep only half works. After I hit the sleep option through the Apple menu, or after pressing the power button, it shuts off all services, and the power indicator gently blinks ONCE. After that, all services power on, fans go at full speed, and the processor goes at full speed. I have to force shut down. But afterwards, I can boot off of the hibernation image that OS X creates before going to sleep. I've tried this in the following combinations: AppleIntelCPUMangement (it works perfectly with my machine, no KP's, no overheating, fans are controlled, and does a pretty nice job with battery life- about the same as Windows 7), NullCPUManagement + SleepEnabler, and nothing at all, none of them have worked. All give the same result. This is the major issue right now. *Note- the display does sleep normally though.

I'm not afraid of DSDT editing, although I am very new to it, and don't know any programming languages :P I used ##### + Retail disk (used a slightly modded USB to install to MBR) + ##### (selected #####).

So- does anybody know what the heck is wrong with this thing, and why it suffers with insomnia?

*On 10.6.7.

In my acer sleep behavior is the same

try..only to be sure..if sleep is fine in 10.6.2

otherwise..to have agood sleep..you've to load lpc/hpet completely..not disabling cpupowermanagement (no nullcpu or disabler)

and..try to sleep with bluetooth powered off.

I have no way to get down to 10.6.2, I have a 10.6.3 retail disk. Also, I have no disabler kexts, running on AppleIntelCPUManagment, with about the same battery life as Windows 7 B) The only custom kexts I have (that are activated) are: VoodooHDA, EvOreboot (may try removing this and seeing if it works), and FakeSMC. I also have a patched IO80211Family kext (inserted my device ID in it), but this shouldn't effect much... and my laptop doesn't have bluetooth in it.

never had experiences on a lappie near yours.. so it's very difficult for me to help you.

to go step by step.. I recommend you to debug your dsdt.. simply put some rules in the _PTS method..

Lol, I'm pretty new to DSDT editing, and have no programming knowledge xD Haha, what's a rule? I know what a method is though.

It seems like I have the same problem as the Acer laptop you mentioned earlier... did you ever get that working?

Also, I removed EvOreboot, and while it didn't fix my problem, it did speed up my boot time by about 20%, and I can still shutdown and restart :thumbsup_anim:

If you want my DSDT.dsl, here it is (insanelymac won't let me direct upload it as an attachment for some reason):
