Hello!

 

I have an Acer 5742G with ethernet card Broadcom BCM57780, I found a working kext but I can not change the MAC address (00:00:00:00:00:00 currently). I tried and tried the string "sudo ifconfig en0 lladdr <MAC address of card>" but after entering user's password all crash, I tried using MACdaddy but the result is the same ...

There are several versions posted. You might also need to modify your device id in the info.plist.

 

 

Edit: another user reported success for his Acer. He posted a package of kexts for his computer. Review the package and see whether you can find the right kext within it: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=255431
