ignition333
I built a hackintosh a year ago and its been working great. I built one for a friend and using the same kakewalk and ##### method that I used for the first one. I had the one I built for my friend working fine and one day his audio stopped working, he attempted to re-install some kexts in ##### and when its rebooted it gets hung up on the grey apple screen and gets a kernel panic everytime. I did a "-v" and I attached a screen shot of what was on screen. Can someone help me decifer what it means and what I can do to fix it? Note: the 2 shots are just the upper half and lower half of the screen. I read somewhere that I can boot into safe mode using "-s -f -x -v" and it works for me. I'm able to get into safe mode but don't really know what to do next in order to attempt to fix it. I used a 1 TB boot drive that I partitioned into 2 500GB partitions, so I was thinking about just reinstalling everything on the other half of the drive if I can't figure this out. I thought I would see if someone on this forum could help me out first. Here are some of the specs on the system: OSX 10.6.6 installed using kakewalk and ##### i7 950 Gigabyte X58A-UD3R 6GB of RAM [Corsair Dominator] Zotac Nvidia GT240 Video Card Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/256711-kernel-panic-on-grey-apple-screen-while-booting/ Share on other sites
