Karakino
Hey everybody. In my computer room there is no way to connect to the internet (except wireless). Which wireless card (PCI, PCI-E, Etc.) do you suggest buying for OSx86 (but i also need to use it on windows). Thanks Search in ebay for this item: 170022662302 but i sincerely don't know if it will work for windows too... but as far as i know, as they say in that auction, it will surely work on a macintosh (or a hackintosh :-p) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25656-purchasing-a-wireless-card/#findComment-174105 Share on other sites
Franzy
go to the HCL in osx86 and there's a list of cards. If you see a card you like, check it at a store that sells it (example: newegg.com) to see the OS compatibility. It should say windows. Off the top of my head here are some that work on both: dell WLAN 1350 (not plug-in-play but works with my driver fix so you know it works ) most atheros cards most netgear cards NO INTEL CARDS <--- stay away from them. seeing as how you seem new to the project, thought you should know that intel cards are the biggest, perhaps only bummer hardware left (besides nvidia cards but acc. to macvidia QE and CI coming soon!). So like i said, just check the hardware compatibility list towards the wiki part of the site and you'll find a helpful list of cards to choose from.
