light_sith
Good a nicely working 10.5.8 on the P5E-VM HDMI with a nvidia 8500 graphics and 4GB RAM (2*2GB). ok, I started with 10.5.4 vanilla on this thing, then someone updated to 10.5.8 (not following any guide) so I had to fix it with psystart open halt drivers. Worked smooth since then. Now I wanted to upgrade with another 2*2GB kit. It's CL5 instead of CL4 memory, but in bios everything looks fine. It's both DDR800 although I think it may run at lower speed. Well, I think this is not the issue here. Computer boots up as usual, but is stuck at the blue screen which always shows up before the desktop is displayed. No mouse cursor is visible. HDD works a bit, but it does never go past the blue screen. Ok, getting the extra RAM out again - and everything works as before. What could be the issue here?
