Hi, Iam new here and I just want to say THANKS! This forum helped me alot!

//I started to try installing mac on my laptop Extensa 5620z 2 days ago so forgive me some noob questions

//Sorry for my english ;)

//OMG LONG READ :)

So.. Ive installed OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.3 (iAtkos S3 v2) successfully w/ vanilla kernel after few hours of googling and "try and error" method (AsereBLN bootloader). Everything works fine but wireless (Atheros AR5BXB63, which is detected under Windows as AR5007EG and as AR5006X in everest :D, kismac guide here didnt worked)

Ive updated the system to 10.6.7 and booted w/o problems, but USB ports not working, ethernet doesnt work and EVOreboot not working (kexts overwritten?). So I tried to install IOUSBFamily378.pkg - no luck and also tried to install EVOreboot.kext and BCM5787.kext (designed for 10.6.3) (broadcom ethernet) using kext helper b7 - nothing happens. Tried to repair permissions with kext utility after installing kext, but also without any progress. Seems like I wont be able to install anything now to get my hardware work. Sound, bluetooth, battery is working. Any idea how to fix this, resp. are there some new drivers for the latest snow leopard update?

Acer Extensa 5620z

Intel Pentium T2390, 32bit mode, vanilla kernel

Intel GMA X3100, no drivers selected during install content customization - working

Eth. Broadcom BCM5787M - drivers on dvd doesnt work, have to install kext manually

Wir. Atheros AR5BXB63

Intel 965 chipset; Intel 82801 usb

Thanks for help, tell me if I forgot to post some hw/sw info that will help to solve this problem

Hey VITUSH, glad you have a mac now :D

A few things, I found http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t163427.html that as a guide, look at that and see if that will help you get your wifi working,

as for USB not working, go to tonymacx86, and download ##### (3.5 is the latest version), and run it, and under System Utilities, check rebuild caches and repair perms, and then under Drivers & Boot loaders / Kexts and Enablers / Misc, select IOUSBFamily rollback, and whatever other kexts you think you would want for your osx, that might help improve stuff!

Good luck on anything else you need to get working! :(

Si I first try to get wifi working (thats most important now, I can reinstall the system back to 10.6.3 anytime). Ive followed the guide well I think, and the result was exactly the same as with this guide:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t156546.html

After installing those 3 kexts (except the IO80211Family.kext) I get kernel panic after reboot - same as installing them all at once. When I install just the IO80211.kext then the fan indicator is working but ofcourse, kismac wont find anything.

Is it ok that those kexts attached in these guides are for 10.5.x leo and I have 10.6 snow leo?

I will post the kernel panic screen - if it is relevant
