TimmyK.
Hello, after finding ##### didn't work on my old Dell D620, I used leppy700m's D620SLV.iso tool. I now have Mac OS X Snow Leopard on here, and it works really well - thank you leppy700m! However, I cannot boot up without using the D620SLV.iso disc. I read this, and I to have ##### on a flash drive, so I was wondering if I could use ##### so that I won't have to use the D620SLV.iso disc? If not, is there another tool that does the same thing for D620SLV.iso? Thank you for any help. TimmyK.
No one is answering, so I'll be brave and give it a try. Let me know if I did something wrong (which will be after I did it ). TimmyK.
Then again, I don't want to have to install OS X on here all over again if something goes wrong. Or will the post_install.cmd that comes with D620SLV.iso do the job? I already ran it and rebooted. Do I need anything else? Yes, ##### is a package to make a boot cd. ##### is a separate package to download. I'll take a shot at this since nobody else answered. I'm not sure of what happens with your .iso With #####, the boot files are on the cd or dvd. ##### will be seen once you have the OS up->USB. It is possible to run ##### and install the Chameleon boot files that are being used on the cd and install them on the hard drive. Then you don't need a boot cd. You can also download the Chameleon package and put it on your usb stick and then install it manually, there are three files. Google the directions to do that. There are lots of things to do with a new install: find your DSDT.aml, install /Extra kexts ..
