Need help with a dual boot Lenovo s10

Hello all,

I am in need for some help please. I have a Lenovo ideapad S10. I bought it from an individual on craigslist and when I purchased it, it had Mac OSx and windows 7 already installed on it. I fell in love with being able to run both operating systems on such a neat little machine. Almost everything on the OSx side worked and still does. The problem lies when one day it felled to let me run Windows any longer. It doesn't give me an option to run windows, it just boots into the Mac side. When I go into the Mac side I can see the windows drive and all the files. It also has an extra partition. When I first boot up this is what it says." Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chameleon v2.0-RC2 r640. Build Date: 2009-07-25 21:16:41". hd(0,1) Windows NTSF; hd (0,3) OSX. What I would like to do is get the windows side back. I am wondering what that would take. I don't even know where to start. I was wondering if it could be as simple as installing windows xp (which I have a copy of and came originally on this netbook) onto the windows partition. If it means I have to start over and delete the Mac side then I think I will leave it alone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for such a long post and thank you in advance for any help! :D

You could try to repair your windows boot sector. You will need an external dvd rom + the Windows 7 installation DVD.

Once you have them, connect and boot from the DVD.

Use the howto here to fix your boot sector. Do not repair the MBR as this will wipe chameleon.

Once done, hopefully (if you cross enough fingers), chameleon will detect the Windows partition again.
