(10.6.6 & 10.6.7) kernel panics, mouse, about this mac and GraphicsEnabler not working

Hi there,

today I tried again to set up OS X on my computer.

This time I used an AMD Athlon II X4 630 in combination with a Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT (from MSI) and an Nforce 430 chipset on my Mainboard (from Foxconn).

I did it like it was described here: http://www.kexts.com/desktops/9746-guide-os-x-10-6-amd.html.

So I used an OS X 10.6 Retail DVD, Nawcom Mod CD and everythink else described there.

I tried to install it on a virtual machine powered by Oracle VirtualBox. After the installation I did the update to 10.6.7. During that period I figured out some problems:

1. After the update my mouse stoped working (when I boot with the Nawcom Mod CD into my System the Mouse works).

2. I can't access the "About this Mac" tab (neighter with the retail installation nor with 10.6.7): I get a black screen and the desktop reloads).

3. Sometimes after an installation (ex. after the retail installation, after the 10.6.7 legacy kernel update) I get kernel panics.

4. I can't enable the GraphicsEnabler=Yes flag (neighter in the bootloader nor in com.apple.boot.plist).

Unlikely I'm totally new with this (I only once tried to install a hackintosh dvd on my old intel notebook).

So I would be thankfull if someone can help me out-.

Best Regards

Orco
