adam56 Posted April 24, 2011 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Hey Ive been trying for a very long time trying to install a non-modified 10.6.3 snow leopard disk using modcd to boot it. I have tried ideneb also (10.5.7) and i still cannot boot as i either get "still waiting for root device" or it will show a kernel panic.i have looked all over the internet for a fix and everything i have tried has not worked. i have tried all the diferent boot commands such as -force64 -x -v -f -s etc. Specs: AMD Phenom X6 1055T 4GB DDR3 Corsair Ram Biostar A880G+ ATI Radeon 5570 1GB LG IDE Disk Drive ST31500541AS ATA (Sata in IDE mode) Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me, i would really like to get this running as i want to use garage band on my pc. p.s. I will be happy to provide more info if needed Hi i have the same with you bro. i have a AMD Phenom 7850 BE (Kuma), 4 Gb Adata DDR2 800, Asus Sata DVDRW, Gigabyte GA-M56S-S3 Mb. i tried İatkos v7, İdeneb, Kalyway, Yurdleturtle something, 10.6iso, Retail dvd 10.6 HOTİSo etc, etc. end now i am tryin SL_10.6.6i_by_Hazard, but there is a problem about AMD Cpus and Nvidia Chipsets, i understand at last we need a new kernel (amd and nvidia supported or sometheng like that) and some new drivers (kext), its ok i have the new kernel (legacy_kernel-10.6.0.pkg) and AppleNForceATA.kext and DSDT patc GA-M56S-S3 DSDT.aml but i dont know how i use this files, where i put or how the use DSDT patch ... Everybody says " use this drivers" or "use these kernels" "make Dsdt patc" ok but howwww? İ am tried this one also: repair Snow.Leopard.v10.6.3-HOTiSO.dmg to 8gb usb and find the these files and change with new ones. ok; but something gone wrong, not worked, not a kernel panic but says: some files not exist bla bla bla. Any body can make a new boot cd whit these files? or anybody can explain how the change original kernel at DVD with the edited kernel? Coz i am tryin to instal Mac since 2 months and i write 9-10 boot cd, (pirate efi-hacked boot ver 1.5, nvidia driver included) and, burned 4 8gb DL DVD, and 12 4Gb DVD but nothing..
