Syren
Hey! I've just installed OSX86 10.4.3, since my curiosity got the better of me and I've always like the look of Macs and OSX, yet never had the oppertunity to actually toy with one. However, it's not picking up my sound card, which is expected. I have a Realtek High Definition Audio card in my box, and I'm unsure if there are any mac drivers. Is there a way to get this working under OSX? Also, I have a BT Voyager 1040 Wireless adapter, using the Broadcom BCMWL5(/A) chipset. I'm uncertain if there's any way of getting this to work under OSX; I've never even successfully got it working in linux via ndiswrapper. (Mostly with Ubuntu / openSuse to pin blame on, but eh. ) Any light shed on these two issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Syren
A little browsing around these forums has brought up a reoccuring word, "kext". What is one of those, and where can I get one for my WiFi adapter / sound card? And of course, what do I do with it then? Forgive me for the bump too, s'just I could really rather do with having interweb on my computer.
