marcus187
I installed snow leopard retail in my AMD test system through an existing leopard install. My leopard installation is IPC 10.5.6 using the Extensions.mkext from Hazards SL distro. Now here's my problem, I have a USB mouse and keyboard and everytime I boot to my Snow leopard installation, my mouse doesn't work. But the light under it is lit. I tried transferring it to several ports even to a PCI usb expansion card but still no luck. I changed the IOUSBFamily.kext and IOSUSBMassStorage.kext from 9.9.9 to 3.1.5 but the problem still persists. The weird thing about this is if I boot to my Leopard installation, my mouse works! Did any of you experienced this? I'm planning to upgrade my system but I'm afraid if Install SL, It won't be usable. Thanks! It had the same issue as yours. Finally the issue is resolved by adding string "USBBusFix=Yes" in com.apple.Boot.plist You may want to give it a try, if you still have the problem with USB K/M.
