sbg711
I've tried installing iATKOS S3 v2 several times on my VAIO NW21MF laptop, no errors during installation. But I just can't seem to be able to boot the damn thing, and am left with "You need to restart your computer." message. Here's the kernel panic screenshot:
buoo
try to boot with -v -x or -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No Edit: Could you make a description of your hardware? However your problem is related to the graphic card.

The bootcd brought me to Eject the boot CD / Insert Mac OS X DVD Wait a bit and press F5 I inserted the Mac OS X DVD, but whenever I press F5 I get a "Can't find mach_kernel" message. buoo
It's strange! This cdboot is tested! Maybe are you burned the cd fast too? If you have problems with it try another cdboot for ATi card! You could try #####.

But judging by the errors I posted and hardware information, is there a way to fix this problem? Or will I have to undergo the same cd-booting hassle every time I want to start my laptop again? buoo
Looking the screen I see only one problem! ..The graphic Card! A lot of ATi cards give these problems and the solutions often are, the choise of the bootloader and/or to ad the right Id in the graphics kexts. I don't know well the mobility but maybe it'll be an hard way to make it work. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=252297 ZzZz See Ya

sbg711
Ok, sorry for the double post, but I tried installing iATKOS v7, and selecting the VGA>ATI>HD patch in the installation customization menu, I was able to boot the system without any problems. Thing is though, that iATKOS S3 v2 doesn't seem to have this patch. Now I just need to figure out how to make the mousepad and keyboard work, as the OS doesn't seem to recognize them :/
sbg711
Now I've tried installing iATKOS S3 v2 on my desktop instead, which runs on an nvidia geforce card. I still ended up with kernel panic even with minimal(default) kext/patch selections during install. Any ideas? Nevermind, after ~12 hours of headaches, I finally found the optimal setup. RTC (32-bit) instead of RTC GraphicsEnabler Intel Gigabit ethernet (left all Wired fields unchecked, then installed manually via Kext Helper) Geforce 9500GT 512mb (currently trying to solve, most likely also via Kext Helper)
