jhunter46
I used the Release1 install dvd. Patched the AC97.kext, patched the Airport2.kext so sound and wireless work. Although the sound is a little choppy. I had to trash the ATI.kext so I could boot without going into safemode, but other than the choppy sound and no video drivers this is awesome. tulling1
I got an Inspiron 9100, installed osx and got it all working except the bluetooth, and a higher resolution than 1024x768. I have tried changing the resolution in com.apple.Boot.plist , and have also tried to change it while boothing by passing graphics mode parameteres in the boot prompt. No luck.. Today I downloaded the koverg-patch9700 and followed the instructions for install, but then osx didnt even start. It just freezes while booting. Had to reinstall everything. Can anyone tell me how to get a higher resolution than 1024x768x32 on a DELL Inspiron 9100 (Ati radeon 9700) ? I have read about people getting 1920x1200 or 1280x1024 to work. Anyone? I have searched and searched the two last days. Read much about it, but I cant find anything that works.
