TehDoctor
So yea, you know the drill. 1. Newbie asks for help and gives specs 2. Help is given 3. Help works 4. Thanks are given Heres my number 1: I have a strange Mobo, ASUStek P6X58D-E, and it requires me to take my HDD out and put it in an enclosure. So after doing this and having it failed, I took it to the MacBook Pro where I then Installed Mac OS along with Chameleon Bootloader and a few other things I learned from a guide by User_01. After all this I put my HDD back into the computer where after booting I am greeted by Chameleon (Obv.) and after booting into the newly made HDD I see a standard mac startup screen but the Apple is replaced by what seems as an Intel Logo and after this it restarts all in the matter of a few milliseconds. Now for the Specs: Mother of Boards: P6X58D-E CPU: Intel Core i7 930 GFX: EVGA 1GB 460GTX HDD: _Samsung_ tl;dr? My computer is stuck in a neverending cycle of rebooting. Unrealized^
Try using -v as a startup parameter and posting a screenshot of the output. Also a picture of the "intel screen" would be appreciated. nbmz
Does really no one know whats wrong?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pTAeGLU3QA I hate to tell ya, but your gonna have to figure out a way to install from that mobo, and not from another machine. It's not gonna be easy, either. A lot of the install depends on: - CPU type (Hopefully intel, as AMD can be a pain to get working properly) - Video card - Amount of RAM installed - Sata configured for EHCI/compatible - etc... I'd try another video card first...do you have an on-board video card you can use? As well, I find the tonyosx installers are pretty decent as well. You may have to try another distro as well... Good luck! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/254614-i-need-you-points-finger-for-help-on-my-hackintosh/#findComment-1669655 Share on other sites
TehDoctor
Thanks for the help Mr. nbmz, Shortly after starting installation, I get the error: "Failed to verify MediaFiles.pkg" I don't know the reason of this, this error occurs on an installer that has and normally works. : / -Doctor Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/254614-i-need-you-points-finger-for-help-on-my-hackintosh/#findComment-1670005 Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
You can't use the install DVD that came with your MacBook Pro, it will only work on that model. You need a retail DVD. Use google images search to find out what that looks like.
