Chameleon boot files folder & /Extra folder location/partition on single disk & dual-boot single disk

Hi All,

I have a question on how to understand where the chameleon files/folders are located on the below 2 install methods;

1. One hard disk ONLY running Snow Leopard

2. One hard disk dual-boot/running Snow Leopard & Windows 7 Pro (1st install Windows 7 & then 2nd install Snow Leopard - becomes active partition to boot).

I used iATKOS S3 V2 to install & initial tests with the above 2 method, I observed the below;

1. One hard disk ONLY running Snow Leopard <-- I saw 2 partitions - "EFI partition" & "OSX partition"

2. One hard disk running Snow Lepard & Windows 7 Pro <-- 3 partitions - Windows hidden boot partition, Windows 7 partition & OSX partition.

I also noticed on the 1st method, when I boot, I get the boot options with chameleon boot & themes but with the 2nd method, I only get a text/console type chameleon boot selection & no chameleon themes.

Now my question is where are those chameleon themes files & also where is the EFI partition now in case of 2nd install method?

Am I correct to say that EFI partition is only part of a GPT because 1st install method is on GPT format?

I think chameleon uses this hidden EFI partition to hold its files. Am I correct?

If so, on a MBR formated disk running Windows 7 & OSX, where are the chameleon files/folders? Any hidden folders on OSX partition?

I would like if some one can clarify this a bit more or confirm my understanding or provide me with some links to understand this.

What am I missing here?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Mathew
