Successful Snow Leopard install on Intel S5520SCR with dual quad Xeons

Hi all,

 

I'm building a dual six-core Xeon Mac Pro clone and am documenting it on my blog. I've received a huge response so far from people interested in high-end workstation class "hackintosh" builds and there is surprisingly little information out there about builds at this level. I just wanted to share the news that one of my regular followers and commentators Mika just successfully installed Snow Leopard on his almost identical dual-quad Xeon on a Intel S5520SCR motherboard. I am sure the hardware compatibility list can be updated in due course also.

 

He shares some tips... for anyone interested in using the Intel S5520SCR as a basis for a OSX workstation.
