discojohnno Posted April 8, 2011 Share Posted April 8, 2011 Hi Guys i have successfully install snow on my pc the only problem i am having is i cannot boot from the hdd with the latest chameleon bootloader i have tried several versions all with no luck just end up hanging at apple logo i can boot into snow leopard with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] my pc specs are as follows intel core 2 q6600 4gb ram 160gb sata hdd gforce 8800 gts 512 Foxconn G9657MA Motherboard foxconn marvell yukon 88e8056 i have booted with -v and get the following (screenshot attached) Any suggestions would be great as i would really like to get this booting from hdd? Hi Andy, thanks for the reply - i have disabled this and also removed the nvenabler.kext but i still get the same problem with not booting from hddd just stalls at apple screen with a stop sign - still can boot from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
discojohnno Posted April 11, 2011 Author Share Posted April 11, 2011 Hi Guys Just thought i would share some more information regarding the specs of the pc i have The original model was an Advent T9509 - I have just updated the bios on the Foxconn website to the latest version but now i see just after post screen i ge the following message and was wondering if it had anything to do with no booting from hdd only [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] "Controller not set for operating in AHCI mode "AHCI Bios not installed" I never has this before the bios update but looks like i have flashed over the advent bios with the Foxconn version Does anyone have any ideas regarding this as im at my wits end now Any replies would be greatly apriciated Kind Regards John Horton M.C.P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After that try to boot again from hd. I had similar problems to because OS X boot is very fragile when some kext is missing...It´s very easy to make the boot get stucked... So if you can boot from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] cd the best choice is to make HDD booting like [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]. Thanks for the reply i have tried several times using [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] with no luck the only way i have managed to get it working from hdd is by mirroring the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] disk files on hdd and changed a few things however when i do this boots fine till i try the nvenabler and then cant book im at a loss on what to do now been trying a week Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
