mt_
Error: Still waiting for device I have tried to install OSX on this machine many occations and failed. The error I am getting is "Still waiting for root Device". I have a feeling its to do with my BIOS or my motherboard. The option for SATA mode is greyed out and set to RAID, is there anything i can do? I cannot find a update for the BIOS, and am not sure if nVidia RAID is making it unavailable. I have used ##### and empire EFI but still with the same problem. I would appreciate if anyone could help Thanks in advance, John Specs: Desktop Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 4GB DDR 2 Ram MCP73 Motherboard Nvidia PNY GTS 250 160GB 2.5" Hdd Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/254286-bios-problem/ Share on other sites

mt_
Hi Configure SATA as [AHCI] Thanks for the reply. My BIOS wont allow me to change the SATA mode, its stuck in RAID. Unless there is another way to set it? Gringo Vermelho
RAID mode implies AHCI, at least on Intel ICHx, not sure about nforce but I would think so. Use the forum search to find Verdant's nforce chipset install guides.
