imseakin
Installed on Gateway 504GR Desktop. 512megs ram, 160gig hd. Did the Kelyway 10.5.2 install process with the GParted utility. Took a few tries but here's what I found worked. 1. Install XP in main partition. 2. Use Partition Magic to create a logical partition of type FAT32. Make it a Logical partition. 3. Make a small shared partition in FAT32 mode. 4. Boot with Kalyway 10.5.2 Leopard installer CD. 5. Use Disk Utility to format the mac partition as Extended Journaled. 6. Install leopard. 7. reboot with Gparted cd. Select Window partion and highlight 'boot'. 8. restart and edit boot.ini to point at tboot file. 9. restart and enjoy! It works nicely, has network access just fine as is USB recognition. I haven't tested to see if sound works. but that's not a priority. A good experience. I'm looking forward to doing a Snow Leopard install soon. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253985-gateway-504gr-install-successful/ Share on other sites
