TheDie
Here is the short version of my Problem: My first Hackintosh was 10.5.7 and it worked just fine. My only problem was that the internet did not always work. I had to restart my computer 0 to 15 times. Sometimes I just started my computer only once and the internet worked fine. If the internet did not work I just had to restart until the internet works (takes up to 15 times). If the internet does not work under system preferences it says ("not connected"). I decided to update my system I used this guide: http://ericdurbin.blogspot.com/2009/12/ins...us-p5gc-mx.html My internet did not work so I used some programs like: Kext Utility.app, AttansicL1eEthernet.kext, VoodooHDA.kext, after that the internet worked. I am not that sure which program helped my, because the internet worked after about 10 times trying around... I used the native system update function to update my system to 10.6.6 but I have the exact same problem... Now I have some options (I like option 1 most and option5 least): 1. find a way to get my network working 2. use something like this: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B001MX1ES6/ref=asc...ASIN=B001MX1ES6 3. try to use an old network card from an old windows pc 3. buy a new network card, that will work for sure 4. use a wireless LAN stick (slow internet) 5. install windows Please does someone know how to repair my internet? I cannot find the name of my network card but I will post it in a few hours if I find it... TheDie
No ideas? Did this never happen before? Or can someone help pointing me to a guide explaining how to install another network card or install the onboard network card? Any network card I can be sure can be used with my system? Did you check the HCL at http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.6.5 About your Internal Network Card. According to the HCL several People use this Motherboard with the Internal Network Card. You could try another driver someone recommend Atl2kext20090406.zip for example. TheDie
Thank you very much, I tried to get the onboard network device to work, but it did not work. I tried a lot with different kext files. Now I know that my network device (PCI) works with this kext file I attached. This is the kext file that make me restart my mac a lot to get the internet working... When the internet does not work the framebufferDisabler.kext is used (see picture below) IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253944-why-do-i-need-to-restart-my-hack-0-to-15-times-before-my-internet-works/#findComment-1673449 Share on other sites
