ficanas
HI, I made it despite my poor mileage! Specs: Dell Studio Hybrid, Intel X3100, 4 Go Ram, 1920x1080 Dell Display. Retail install, from a laptop USB stick install I used for a EEEPC 1005 HA. Everything works quite of the box in arch=i386 mode, with video acceleration, even the TSSTcorp T633A DVD toaster, except HDMI & DVI outlets. THE TRICK --> you have to connect thru VGA to find a valid display or use the 64 bit chameleon kernel's flag x64_86. I made a few DSDT editing... but would some DSDT gurus to help find a way for the HDMI & DVI issues. I would be pleased to share my experience, this tiny beast is a really good one! scav1
Been working on trying to install Snow Leopard for a few days now on my Dell Hybrid Studio with no luck. I've tried running ##### along with the Retail DVD (10.6.3) and I've tried the USB method but I can't even make it to the installer screen. I keep getting hung up with errors before I even getting to a GUI. Not sure if I'm missing a command at boot or using the wrong ones. I feel like I have tried everything at this point. Any chance you could walk me through your installation?
