dbqgeek Posted April 1, 2011 Share Posted April 1, 2011 I'm hoping someone can help. I've done a successful installation of 10.6.3 on my Lenovo T410 laptop. I had to install to a Patriot 16gb xt boost thumb drive bc my firm encrypts our hard drives and I cannot partition without complete loss of all data and they don't give us the password to unencrypt. Like I said 10.6.3 working fast and beautifully. When I go to install the combo update everything falls apart. Long story short after the update and [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and a reboot I get stck in the silver apple logo with a perpetual spinner. I've waited hours hoping it would boot, but no luck. I know others on T410's have had luck so if I had to guess I'd say its because I'm installing to a USB drive (oh and in [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] I check the box for the USB rollback). Any help from this forum would be much appreciated. My main goal is to develop on this box when im traveling, but the latest iOS sdk requires 10.6.6 so I'm really stuck.
