Geesu
As the topic says, I've done probably 5 installs of OS X on my laptop, on the 4th try my sound was working I was so excited!!! Now after I had to repartition + reinstall it isn't working... Anyone have any ideas as to why it wouldn't work? Thanks! Guest BuildSmart
if it worked previously after installs then you select somehting different this time aorund and that may be why it doesn't work or, it was a fluke that it worked in the first place. OSX86tester
kudos Geesu. permissions is a powerful thing, so much you can do with that. . I myself have never had an issue since AC97 is always detected on an interesting note, I dont think using a microphone plugged into the mic port works. then again I still dont know if those mics even work. ill try another one and get back to you on that. Geesu
hehe, I was so happy when I rebooted though and the installer played sound (I had to reinstall again b/c i couldn't change the partition size).. I just didn't check any of the sound choices and it worked fine Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25382-sound-isnt-work-ac97-it-worked-fine-then-i-reinstalled/#findComment-171758 Share on other sites
OSX86tester
oh man i should have joined sooner. you dont have to nuke your osx just to resize. use a live cd. I'll post the link later. UBCD reboot your system have that disk in there lets you do whatever you wish to the hd i have a virtual xp disk pretty cool too.
