francesco_p19
I installed Snow Leopard 10.6.6 in my PC, with the following specs: Intel i7 920 Gigabyte X58A-UD3R rev. 2.0 2*Seagate 500Gb in RAID 0 by marvell raid bios and in AHCI 1*Seagate 500Gb for data store 3*3Gb DDR3 RAM ATI HD5870 1Gb I have ubuntu, windows and now i wanna install mac, each os is installed on the raid hard disks. The problem is that, when I run OSX with ##### (i didn't restore the bootloaders because i want the os to be ok first), even with the commands -v -x busratio=22 cpus=1, i am not able to start it, it stucks first on ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start – waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement))timed out” and then (after about 10 minutes) it loads some other things, but it stucks again after some commands related to the PS2 controller. I kept waiting for about 1 hour but it wasn't happening anything. Please tell me what to do, and thanks in advance for your help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253584-osx-not-starting-after-a-no-problems-installation/ Share on other sites

Guest ^Andy^
Please help me guys, how do I solve the ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start – waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement))timed out” error?? What boot disk did you use to do the initial install? Surely using that same boot disk you should be able to get to the desktop - if not then I'd say either your install or borked or the boot disk is junk and you should try a different one. francesco_p19
Hello, first thank you for your reply I used ##### to boot the disk setup (Snow Leopard Hazard 10.6.6) and it started nicely without inserting any command line. I installed it with some drivers (many and many times i've tried combinations of drivers, I even tried without any and with all), installation always finished successfully and I restarted pc. Then i booted hard disk with ##### again, first without command lines, but it stucked at the apple logo, the loading image below continued to rotate and never finished. I tried with -v -x and it gave me that error ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start – waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement))timed out” I also tried with cpus=1 and arch=i386. In an installation, while it was doing that AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement error, screen got crazy and was displaying many verical color lines, but I was able to see the error the same.... What should I do? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253584-osx-not-starting-after-a-no-problems-installation/#findComment-1665286 Share on other sites
