titoush
Hey guys this is my first english post, I'm really newbie on hackintosh (took me 2 days to be able to boot without any problem) so i hope you can understand me. First of all, my specs in my signature, I'm also using BIOS 1.9, 64 bits, and a patched DSDT with the following modifications: ALIAS DTGP HDEF HPET IRQs REMOVE RENAME SMBUS SHUTDOWN FIX WARNINGS So, now my problem, what I have done and my results. 32 bits - NO DSDT 1- ##### -> ALC8XX+RollBack -> Shows like ID888 but can't play any audio. 2- AppleHDA 10.6.7 -> Same as before. 3- Azalia -> Shows like ID12 but can't play audio. 4- ALC888 by Elad Nova -> Kernel panic. 5- Toruga pack -> Kernel panic. 6 MSIP45ALV uploaded by roisoft - http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=168990 - -> Kernel panic. 7- voodoohda 2.7.2 ->Kernel panic. (This might be because I have HDEF mod in DSDT?) so I started reading about DSDT and stuff like that, so I got a patched DSDT (thanks to MaLd0n), and also tried booting 64bits, and this are my results: 64 bits - DSDT 1- Tried all of the above with no positive result. 2- #####: ALC8XX+RollBack+Patched APPLEHDA with this code: sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x85\x08\xec\x10|\x88\x08\xec\x10|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleHDA -> Not sound, it shows like ID12. To install kexts I use KextUtility, before any kext install I removed any sound kext from s/l/e and e/e. Hope someone can help me! EDIT: I gave up with this thing, already bought a USB Sound Card for 5 dollars, but I'm stil open for new kext to make ALC888 work! Does anyone have this card working under 10.6.7? If yes, please tell me how you did it. As you can see I gave up, I prefer expending 5 bucks and not expending two days trying kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253470-alc888msi-p45-neo-f/#findComment-1665990 Share on other sites
