InfiniteFool
I'm trying to install Snow Leopard on a computer with an ASUS P6T motherboard, an i7-950 3.06Ghz processor, Radeon HD 5850 GPU, and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. I've been following a mixture of the guide and video on this page: http://www.fleebailey33.org/ some sections on this page: http://www.flynflip.com/Hackintoshing/HackintoshSection.html as well as parts of this guide here: http://phil.replete.nu/hackintosh-osx-86-p...0-and-asus-p6t/ and also some suggestions from flynflip via email. So far I've been able to install Snow Leopard, but anytime I try to do an update, install display drivers, or install my motherboard specific files, I end up with either a apple loading screen that never ends, or my GPU beeps and there's no image at all. So basically it's unusable at the moment. In a nutshell, what the guides above tell me to do is make a flash drive with a myHack version of the Snow Leopard disc installed on it, install it from there, run Software Update and ##### and/or install the motherboard specific drivers. At the end of this process the OS won't boot. I have tried several different strategies and I get basically the same results every time. I have tried running #####, but it wouldn't work, even in safe mode and with graphicsenabler=No set. I don't really know what else to try. The issue may be related to the GPU, as I'm not sure if I'm really doing the right things to install the drivers for it. Any help would be appreciated.
