biglips Posted March 25, 2011 Share Posted March 25, 2011 Hi I have the snow leopard install dvd a iatkos version ,and I installed the dvd awhile back with a sata dvd drive with no problems, well that dvd sata drive is gone now back to its owner. I need to install iatkos again but with a the ide dvd drive but it does not want to install. Is there a command I can use at the beginning to fix this without the need of a sata drive? biglips Posted March 27, 2011 Author Share Posted March 27, 2011 Ok I got it installed ,I'll talk about that if anyone is interested ,now I am using 10.6.3 osx86 with everything working so far with a slow startup(bootup). Now I am trying to get the 10.6.7 update and get the power restart error black screen so that does not work. Also I can't boot into osx86 without the dvd.
