Elleclouds
I've installed Leopard 10.5.2 on my Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200@ 2.33 GHz - Dell -MT OptiPlex 755 w/7G RAM I have my Geforce GT 220 installed also. I have been able to boot in and out of Leopard, but it doesn't display my full ps specs. In my "about this mac" section, it says that I have 1 core rather than the 4 and it doesn't read my processor ... what can I do to allow my install of Mac OS x 10.5.2 read the proper specs? Can anyone link me to a thread also on how to update to the latest OS from 10.5.2? Thanks in advanced and glad to be apart of this awesome community Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/252923-just-installed-1052-but-mac-os-x-not-reading-full-pc-specs/ Share on other sites

Alessandro17
Is it possible to upgrade from the retail disc to snow leopard? ??? How do you mean? Anyway, if you mean from Leopard to Snow Leopard the answer is no. They are 2 different operating systems and you must install again. My initial an most important concern would be trying to get my Mac OS x install to read my pc's 4 cores .. Hi If you want you can install Snow Leopard in another partition from Leopard's desktop using the Retail Disc or a dmg. It's very easy! It's very easy! Could you point me in the right direction (tutorial maybe) and would you know how to get this installation of Mac OS x to recognize my quad core rather than just one?
