Rullot
Hey, I have installed OSX 10.6.6 on my system and everything has gone well but installing/configuration the video drivers.(I can only boot with 1024/728 and no Quartz. I have a nForce 630i chipset and a nVidia GeForce 9500 GS. I have tried graphics-enabler, EFIstring, natit and NVenabler. (Not at the same time ofc) Whenever I use natit, I get a black screen at the end of boot. However, yesterday I tried to plug in my TV in the VGA output(I use DVI for my computer screen). So now I had them both plugged in. First, the signal goes to the TV and I boot in verbose-mode. And at the end of boot the screen goes black... Here is where the strange thing happens, when my tv(VGA) goes black, my other screen starts with full resolution and Quartz Extreme. So i figured my problem had something to do with the NVCAP in the natit info.plist I tried some different nvcap but that lead to the kext not being loaded at all. Now I can't load this kext, even if I repair permissions and reinstall the kext. Does somebody have an idea of what to try? I would be very happy if you did :wink2: Thanks! Rullot
Solved!! I used an EFI string instead and used the NVCAP 04000000 00000200 00000000 00000007 00000000. This gave me full gfx support. Hope this helps someone out there Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/252818-peculiar-gfx-problem-solved/#findComment-1659125 Share on other sites
