dark.developer
Hello, I think the problem would be with everyone who have installed Mac OSX86 10.4.6 (Jas patched). The problem is that whenever I restart my PC on Mac the date shown by "iCal" is the date on which I installed Mac and whenever I open the "iCal" it changes to the current. ?? Is there any solution? The second problem is already posted here..... The problem is adjusting the system time as adjusting just changes the time on "Windows Xp" if u r dual booting. ?? Is there any method to synchronize both the time? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25248-how-to-fix-the-date-time-issue/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
1) iCal - The default icon for iCal displays 17 until you start it up and the icon gets replaced with the current date. Everyone has an iCal that says 17 - it is just coincidence that you installed on that date. 2) Time sync - OSX and Windows store time differently in BIOS. OSX stores time as UTC (GMT) and then adjusts it with an adder to the local time. Windows stores local time. So they will always be at odds with one another. To get around this, there are 3 ways: 1) Get an app that sets the time off the internet 2) There is a batch script that can be run at startup to reset the time 3) There is a registry key that can be set, but this is an unsupported register and MS may change its behavior at any time, so this is not recommended. This link takes you to two other links which discuss 2) and 3) http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry123785 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25248-how-to-fix-the-date-time-issue/#findComment-170640 Share on other sites
