Hi all, first of all i know i shouldn't open a new topic bout this but i cant post on the original tread.

here i go: i'm following this topic (here) to install SL on my Asus P6T SE with a i7 920 i followed everything step by step and i never been able to install osx. Keeps showing me a dark grey screen with a message to shutdown the computer.

So i tried -v to see the install on verbose mode i get this:

com.aple.launchd 1 com.aple.launchd 1 *** launchd[1] has started up. ***
com.aple.launchd 1	com.aple.launchd 1 *** Verbose boot, will log to /dev/console. ***

i managed to install Mac OSX with "GraphicsEnabler=n", after the installation i installed Chameleon_2.0_RC5_r656 and then i updated to to 10.6.6 and rebooted. Never been able to boot from my hdd i always have to use the USB stick.

Is it possible this happens because i created the USB stick with Chameleon_2.0_RC5_r568?

Does anyone know how can i install the gigabyte geforce gt 430? Tried nvidia enabler from tonymac's and didn't work i always have to use "GraphicsEnabler=n" and the usb stick to boot to the hdd

make sure is GraphicsEnabler = Yes

"=0" is a wrong value

Made it! the only problem is that the GFX card is detected as 512Mb instead of 1Gb.

Heres what i did:

edited com.apple.Boot.plist and added this:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
	<string>1920x1080x32</string>
	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
	<string>Yes</string>

- Then i installed tonymacx86 NVIDIA UPDATE + Chameleon 2,0 RCS from #####.

- Removed NVEnabler from /Extras/Extensions and reboot.

i jsut noticed i don't have any sound. I've check s"ystem profiler" and the i have a soundcard installed.

i laready changed the kext file and repaired permissions but no audio

You can now follow the main guide for your mobo.

The hard part... enter into the Snow Leopard system is done...

---------Sound---------

You probably want your sound to work too. This is an easy fix.

Download this modified AppleHDA kext - http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=70857

Now you'll want to copy that to /System/Library/Extensions/

The last step is to double click and run Kext Utility. It will repair permissions and generate a new kext cache file. Reboot and you're done.

i did this 3 times with no results.

1st and 2nd i copied the file to the dir and run the kext utility - no good

the third time i moved the applehda kext over the kextutility who installed and fixed permissions still no sound

I copied the /extra/extensions/P6T-SE.kext from the flashdisk to /Extra/Extensions/P6T-SE.kext on the HDD, fixed permissions with kextutility and the audio is working now!

Grazie per il vostro tempo!

Thanks a hell lot for your time fabio :D

Solved! Now i have a full working SL 10.6.6.

To fix the DVD issue i just had to install from tonymacs ##### the JMicronx36 kext :)
