Punter
Ok, I've got 'MacOSX_10.4.6DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso' burnt to dvd, I've made a 10gb partition on a logical drive, I've restarted saying 'boot from cd-rom' and it just loads up windows. Where have I messed up here? I'm at a loss here with ideas. Help me out please!
Rammjet
First, it would be better if the partition was primary, not logical. Are you sure you haven't burned the file "MacOSX_10.4.6DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso" to the DVD instead of the contents of the iso? If you mount the DVD in Windows, you should see some "boot" files, but you won't see any of the OSX files because Windows can't read the HFS+ formatted part. But if you mount the DVD and only see "MacOSX_10.4.6DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso", then you have burned the file and not the contents of the disk image (iso)
Punter
Awesome my friend, sounds like i've just burnt the file. How do I go about burning the contents of it? Sorry if I'm being stupid here!
Punter
Also, why is it better if it's on a primary partition? Is this really gonna make a difference? I'm gonna shove another ide h/d in tomorrow, is it worth doing the whole install of osx on that?
